Gratomic’s anticipated shipment from China is delayed due to the global impact of COVID-19.

The cargo will be dispatched upon the lifting of quarantine in Namibia, which is anticipated to occur by the 20th of April 2020. The strategic alignment of these two events will allow staff to return to the Aukam mine site, giving them 39 to 45 days to effectively outfit the property in preparation for the shipment’s arrival.

The provisions will include the pouring of concrete slabs, which will house the machinery, the installation of electrical components, and the procurement of any necessary tooling and supplies. The Namibian staff will then receive the freight and organize the completion of the production facility.

This equipment was specifically designed and built to accommodate mass balance pull and the treatment of Aukam Graphite based on the results of our pilot testing programs and is necessary to fulfill the projected 20,000 tonnes per annum operating capacity of the processing facility.

The List of Equipment from China includes the following:
• Hydro Cyclone Cluster
• 10 m Electrical Dryer
• Thickener
• 600 mm conveyor belt
• Filter press
• Slurry pumps and lines

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our valued shareholders during this delay.

COVID-19 has caused a global disruption for many businesses and Gratomic’s Executive Leadership team views this period of slowdown as an opportunity.

“This time will be effectively utilized to complete important activities, such as finalizing engineering reports and project timelines in order to present investors with an accurate assessment regarding the completion of the facility and the mine’s final steps into full production.” ~ Arno Brand, President & CEO
